My 3 favorite Eco-friendly Alternatives to Toothpaste
Toothpaste is a staple in our daily routines, and has been since as early as 3000 BCE. But as we have evolved as humans, so has our toothpaste. Packed with synthetic colors, artificial sweeteners, and chemical additives, they raise concerns about their negative effects on both our well-being and the planet.
The good news is that healthier alternatives are within reach, offering us a chance to care for our oral health without compromising our bodies or the environment. DIY Toothpaste Recipe:
Baking Soda + Water
Mix 1 tablespoon of baking soda and 1 drop of any essential. Add a few drops of water until desired consistency.
Baking soda + Salt + Water
Mix 1 tablespoon of baking soda, 1 tablespoon of natural salt and 3 drops of any essential oil. Add a few drops of water until desired consistency.
Baking soda + Coconut oil
Mix 2 tablespoons of coconut oil, 2 tablespoons of coconut oil and 10 drops of any essential oil.
TIPS: Be careful with the proportions and if you want a whitening effect, add a minute proportion of turmeric.
