Join us for an amazing conversation with Camp Fire Alaska director Cisco Mercado! This camp works for the kids of its community in rural Alaska. With an inclusive program, Cisco and the Camp Fire Alaska team create an environment where everyone has an opportunity.
Camp Fire Alaska was founded as a national organization in 1910 and started operating in Alaska in 1913. One of the first youth organizations in the state, today they are a leader in youth development and the largest licensed provider of school-age childcare in Alaska.
Their programs, both seasonal and year-round, are participant-centered and include a variety of fun, developmentally appropriate activities such as games, cooking, arts and crafts, drama, music, sports, science, field trips, and lots of active time outdoors.
