Samuel Francis Smith's patriotic hymn extols the beauty of the land and the promise of liberty that is America.  In doing so, he points us to the true source of our liberty, "Our fathers' God."  Let us lift our voice to God in praise, confession of sin, and thanksgiving.  Let us worship the Lord our God and give thanks for the many blessings He has poured out upon us.
