My Dog Brandy

Brandy certainly knew when my Mom was getting breakfast ready for me in the morning. Most mornings he would be right under her feet supervising to make sure there would be plenty for me to give him. Except on Sundays. He had that day off from begging for breakfast!

Join me as I talk with Todd Cameron and Diane Hanson, co-authors of this tale about a woman who uses the lessons she learns from talking her dog to obedience school in her life to solve a challenge at work. It's an easy read but is chock full of lessons we all can learn from our dogs!

Today I spoke to Heidi Hampson, President of the Board of Trustees of the Buddy Dog Humane Society. Buddy Dog is the place where this story begins. It's the place where Brandy chose us as his family (maybe more like servants!). Never doubt that one chance encounter - like I had that day - can so fundamentally alter a life.

I used this story as an essay and it was the single reason I got accepted into Temple University. My Dad came over one afternoon and I decided he should relay the story to you. Just keep in mind it's all true.
