My dog Paco, passed away last year. He was 13yrs old, a great dog that had a great life …and above anything else he LOVED to ride in the car. I took him everywhere.

I have a new dog now, Sadie, a Sheppard mix that I found at the local pound. It was love at first sight and we are having a great time together, except for one big thing. Sadie has yet, in the six months I’ve had her, been able to ride in any vehicle without getting sick. I so want to be able to take her with me when I go out like I did with Paco, but it is clear that it is no fun for her yet. My question is this, are there ways I can work with Sadie that will help her to be able to ride in the car without getting sick? Also, I have thought that maybe I need to relax into allowing her to be a stay at home dog? Can you help us?
