    “More” is a never-ending chase because more is always temporary


    Is there a different answer than the chase for “more”?


    “Come to me, ALL you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and LEARN from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

    The opposite of chasing more is contentment - but contentment is not natural for any of us


    The truth is, we’re not wired to feel content or satisfied. Ever!

    Everything is wearisome beyond description. No matter how much we see, we are never satisfied. No matter how much we hear, we are not content.

    - Ecclesiastes 1:8


    What does contentment mean?

    Where does “enough” come from?


    I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

    - Philippians 4:12-13


    True contentment doesn’t come from a “what”, it can only come from a “who”!


    “Don't worry and ask yourselves, ‘Will we have anything to eat? Will we have anything to drink? Will we have any clothes to wear?’ Only people who don't know God are always worrying about such things.”

    - Matthew 6:31-33

    Contentment will never come from the “what” we have or what we experience, but from the “who” we’re becoming

    Learn the contentment that comes from Jesus!
