I want to share what was supposed to be a normal summer morning. I was sitting in the passenger seat, heading to summer school, when my brother crashed our mom's car into a tree. It's easy to take the people we love for granted, and in moments of fear, we sometimes say things we don't mean. I’ve said hurtful things to my dad in anger, things I regret. I’ve learned that words can stick with someone for a long time, and if I could, I would take those words back and more.
