My Fellow Millennials, The Next 2 Decades are Ours for the Taking
As I'm writing the episode content for this week, I just got a news alert that popped into my inbox on the other screen, "Stocks suffer their worst drop..."
It's been an all too common headline this year. Whenever I see it, I laugh/cry at the same time.
I cry because I'm thinking about how many people have 99% or more of their net worth in the stock market and I feel for them. The times have been turbulent even before 2020 and who knows what the future holds.
I also laugh a little bit for 2 reasons:
(1) I know someone, somewhere is still getting rich when the market tumbles... maybe even more so because of bets they've placed and
(2) I know all my clients aren't paying much attention or are breathing a sigh of relief that they don't gamble in the market like everyone else is.
I share this because the Boomers have their own retirement crisis to worry about (can you imagine being retired right now and seeing your stocks dip over and over again this year) but experts are now looking at us Millennials and claiming we might be in an even worse shape.
But it doesn't have to be this way...
No matter what happens with the market, I'm here to give you some ideas HOW NOT to Be the New Face of a Retirement Crisis
