So I'm not really an explicit goal setter, but with two weeks of summer freedom left I decided to reflect on what I hope my students accomplish this year.

I hope my students...

1. learn about themselves.

2. learn about the world.

3. learn how to communicate with the world effectively.

4. tell me to get the HELL out of the way.

Imagine what would happen if every high school student left with those four things??? My guess is that there would be a lot more happiness and a lot less anxiety.

Could anything else be important enough to get in the way???
