Welcome to our episode for October 16, 2015!
We’re back after a week hiatus due to a family function but ready for a huge show! This week we review Bridge of Spies and The Martian, giving high marks to both. Plus we round-up a lot of the news out of New York Comic Con (NYCC) 2015! Disney’s announced a bunch of movie release dates for Marvel and Disney, Playboy goes PG-13 because of too much porn, and ABC Family is changing to Freeform (yeah we think it’s bad too).
The real action begins in Talk Nerdy to Me where western artists take on Attack on Titan, the 2011 Hunter x Hunter is licensed and will be dubbed, Netflix expands their anime reach with the Seven Deadly Sins anime, Free! Eternal Summer changes its released date for the better, and lots of other anime and nerd news from NYCC!
Be sure to check out Krista’s review of Maze Runner: Scorch Trials and the excellent Food Wars: Shokugeki No Soma (seriously this has been one of my favorites over the summer).

“My Geek Confessions – Watching Bad Movies, So You Don’t Have To!”
* It has been a long time coming but we finally have the first teaser trailer for the probably improved version of Pride and Prejudice, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. This already looks more fun then we thought and better done than Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.
* The trailer for the new movie Hail, Caesar! by the Coen Brothers set in the 1950s that looks like a pretty fun portrayal of old Hollywood with lots of famous playing a bit against type. It definitely looks to be more on the silly side, which makes the omission of saying they made O Brother, Where Art Thou? (which I think has been one of the Coen Brothers best comedies) very interesting. Still the trailer for Hail, Caesar makes us very interested! What do you think of the trailer?
* Netflix keeps pumping out the trailers for its new Jessica Jones Marvel series before its premiere in late November. This one slightly trippy/creepy one features a bit of David Tennant as the villain Purple Man.
* We kind of forgot that the Ratchet and Clank movie was happening, but a trailer has finally been released. Now there have been some complaints from what we’ve heard that it looks too much like the Ratchet and Clank video games, but considering it’s based on the games this seems like a good thing to us. But since neither of us have played the games, are we missing something?
* While it’s almost time for the present to become the future and we actually hit the real date for when Back to the Future Part II took place. We’ll be celebrating in our own way (and feel really old at the same time) while others are getting in on the fun before we hit the date. First is Pepsi who released a special edition “Pepsi Perfect” which was featured in the movie. They are ultra limited edition for $20.15 (2015 LOL) but unfortunately they are only plastic bottles and mostly available only online. It’s too bad since made of glass or some kind of special material and it would be a cool collectible. At least the commercial is cool. The second video is from the upcoming 30th anniversary of Back to the Future part II which includes a fake trailer for “Jaws 19” that was featured in the movie. There’s definitely some strange sequels to get to 19.
