Here's a very nice copy of this classic 1965 Soul ballad, which sits at #27 on Dave Marsh's list of the 1,001 greatest singles of Rock'n'Soul, and at #88 on the Rolling Stone Top 500 list. This a first-issue copy with the script-style Gordy label design. It comes in a beautiful copy of the release's rare picture sleeve, featuring a great group photo (see scan). And the audio is so good (nearly perfect!) I had to make an mp3 "snippet" for you to hear... Enjoy! Note: This copy grades Near Mint overall. The A side label has two small spots of tape residue and a set of initials inked on it, but it has almost no ringwear and is beautiful otherwise. The vinyl has some light scuffs, grading a strong EX. As noted, the audio is something special... very close to Mint. The cool picture sleeve grades a strong EX overall, with some color fading, a small light stain, and some small staple holes to note. But it has virtually no ringwear and is bright and shiny.
