In what may be our strangest story yet, April Norris talks about her Grandpa Dick, who left his wife and kids to live as a nudist with a man in Florida. April visited her booze-loving grandpa for the first (and last) time during a Spring Break she’ll never forget.
You won’t believe the crazy hijinks that occurred on this wacky adventure, from Grandpa Dick accusing April of trying to kill him, to Dick pointing a gun at April’s boyfriend. April also reminisces about her “dirty birdy grandma” and her Playgirl collection.
Bio: April created a podcast called, Of Course…They Make Me Crazy! She started it while on furlough from work because of Covid. The podcast circles around mental health. But, with a twist. It’s for those of you living with someone suffering with a mental illness.
April started writing a book about the ups and downs of living with a mom who was bipolar. The book started to develop into side stories about her mom’s family. They are a cast of crazy characters. While writing it, she decided to turn it into a podcast.
April is no stranger to writing and talking. She was a television news reporter, photographer, and anchor for more than 12 years.
