The inspiration I got from watching a Sikh immigrant come to Canada with eight dollars Canadian and through hard work and perseverance find a way to turn it into enough money to provide for his family of four.  Also the life changing experience of visiting a third-world country and witnessing the poverty and hardships that we in North American fortunately don't have to deal with.
