In this episode we talk about what it was like to fall in love with football as kids in Powell Tennessee. Matt was a childhood teammate of mine before I moved away to Crossville tennessee. We talk about establishing a winning tradition for Powell High School and what it means to be a panther. We also talk about we both went to MTSU and his success under coach boots Donnelly. Matt not only left his Mark is a player at Powell but also at MTSU going from six string right cornerback to starting wide receiver. We get into taking the head coaching job at the age of 27 and what that meant to him. We talk about Coach Stevens from Powell High School and the influence that he along with his dad and Clark Duncan had on Matt as a player and a coach. We finish up with talking about last year's state championship and how coming up short in 2011 fueled him as a coach and he learned from that experience.
