Gary is now 470-78 in his coaching career with 17 state championships. He grew up in Carthage Tennessee and attended Smith County High School. Went to the University of Tennessee is a defensive back and quarterback and played alongside the great condrege Holloway. We talk about being related to Al Gore and what that was like. We also talked about his stops at Riverdale and Alcoa before landing at Boyd Buchanan and how important family is. He tells me that Randall Cobb is such a great young man and one of the hardest workers he's ever coached. We really dive into what it's like for a young coach to build a football program.
