It’s the end of the year and I’m in the middle of being trained in a Responsive Classroom Approach! I love it and I think it marries my teaching philosophy with a focus on SEL, PART, and restorative practices. Here are my reflections on implementation post Covid! Let’s go!

My Journey to a Responsive Classroom: Day 1

Hear the voice of Crystal Goins, as she teaches you how to connect with children and train them up to be respectful and responsible human beings. Crystal grew up in a traditional filipino home with her parents, Venus and Yoly Tanyag, and her four siblings Arnel, Yaz, Babe, and Pat. She attributes all of her success and knowings to how she was raised up with her family. She is very proud of her filipino heritage and values hospitality and "kapwa" (fellowship) in all life's circumstances. She lives with her husband, Ben, and five children, Reagan, Reggie, Wyatt, Jude, and Miles, in Virginia.
