Welcome to this new episode of the ETTY HILLESUM podcast, A LIFE TO TELL, entitled: MY LIFE HAS BEEN EXTENDED BY DEATH.
Death is the only thing we know for sure that will come and it is something we all know we will live, because by nature we are mortals. Etty Hillesum lived facing this reality, she was watching and feeling it getting closer every day, not in a natural way, but provoked and desired, by others whose purpose was destruction and extermination.
It is impressive to see the process that Etty went through, how she became aware of her context, how she accepted it and how she became convinced that LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL AND MEANINGFUL despite everything! Even in a concentration and extermination camp like the one that took her life, in Auschwitz, at the age of 29.
