1) For Anxiety or PTSD -Find your breath, calmly go through the following steps to help ground yourself.

5-Acknowledge FIVE things you see around you.

4-Acknowledge FOUR things you can touch around you.

3-Acknowledge THREE things you hear.

2-Acknowledge TWO things you can smell.

1-Acknowledge ONE thing you can taste.

2) Some other key ways to ground yourself include Walking barefoot outside,  feel the grass under your feet the coolness of it, the texture of it, sand, gardening, long walks in nature. These are all good for grounding yourself.

3) Baths or Showers

4) Scents, candles, incense or essential oils - Lavender, Sandlewood, Geranium, Orange Blossom

5) Hard Exercise - cycling, rowing, cardio but don't over do it. 

These are a few things to ground ourselves when the going gets rough. Not everything will work for everyone-explore and find what works best for you. Then use accordingly.
