modernlove release their highly anticipated third EP Nightlife on March 24th.
The EP features their recent singles ‘until my heart stops beating’, ‘Ruin Your Night’, ‘Take Me Far Away’ and ‘Only Ever Only You’ as well as two previously unreleased songs in the shape of the title track ‘Nightlife’ and ‘Solipsis’.
Previous single ‘Only Ever Only You’ received airplay support from Radio 1’s Jack Saunders and Gemma Bradley, XS Manchester (evening show / RotW), BBC Radio Ulster (ATL show) and Q Radio group in N. Ireland amongst others.
The band is currently finishing their debut North American tour (which also included SXSW) and saw sold out venues in New York, Chicago, LA and Philadelphia, showing the band’s recent releases have made a global impact.
Inspired by the band’s own experiences, the ‘NIGHTLIFE’ EP paints a picture of young people’s lives: the highs and the lows, the triumphs and insecurities that come with partying, drinking too much and falling in-and-out of love.
All six songs were written by modernlove. - Barry Lally (vocalist/guitar), Graham Fagen (guitar), Daniel Rooney (bass), and Cian McCluskey (drums) and were co-produced by the band alongside Tom Leach (Lewis Capaldi, Years & Years) and Adam Redmond.
The EP follows the recent release of the band’s first ever vinyl, the limited edition compilation ‘So Far’.
Their debut UK headline tour late last year sold-out months in advance, while very limited tickets remain for next month’s UK tour, which will see them play their biggest headline show to date at London’s Lafayette.
