In the time since I last did something with The Weekly Creative, I made a deal with myself. Rather than try to balance my time between a hundred different creative pursuits at once, I would choose four projects a year and dedicate one quarter to each project.
Initially, I planned on spending the first quarter of 2018 on writing fiction (ideally hammering out a manuscript for a novel), the second quarter on this podcast, the third quarter on writing and recording music, and the fourth quarter on something later to be determined.
In short, once I tried my hand at writing fiction, I was hooked.
Since then, I have finished a manuscript of a novel, written half of another novel, and written about ten other short stories.
My works have been featured on many horror-fiction outlets, including NoSleep, Otis Jiry’s Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, Mr. Creeps, and Creepypasta, among others.
I have built a new website that is home to my universe of fiction called Phantom Fevers. You can see what I’m up to at my website or on my freshly-created YouTube channel.
If there are any Weekly Creative fans still out there, please reach out and say hello!
Thanks and Love,
Derek
