I have been in the health and wellness industry my whole career, for over 30 years. But for most of that time, I thought of healthcare and medicine in a pretty simplistic way: you get sick, you see a doctor, they diagnose and treat. your illness and you get better. But in 2011, my oldest son, Anthony, came down with a mystery illness that upended how we both thought of the health care system and disease. On this episode, Anthony and I are telling that story. This experience led both of us to where we are today. I am a naturopathic doctor and he is a health journalist.
