Although this verse is later in the book of 1st Timothy chapter 4, Pastor John is setting things up for us today in this letter from Paul to Timothy. He’s giving us a general overview of what the purpose of this letter was, and Paul was encouraging Timothy not to allow others’ perception of his youthfulness to dissuade him from doing the work of ministry. So you can think about this today as well. Are there young people in your church family who are doing great things for God? How about encouraging them in the effort!
Now, let’s join Pastor John in the book of 1 Timothy, chapter 1, as he begins his message, “My Own Son.”
