A Toast To Truths

My Purpose is Exhausting

Listen Later

This is a special episode of A Toast To Truths. We're recording this episode live and on location.

A Toast To Truths is my observation on hushed biz conversations that deserve a public dialogue. These "forbidden" truths often lead to mental, emotional and financial frustration because you don't know who you can confide in to talk to about these issues. My special guest co-hosts and I are going to reveal the ugly truths and consequences of life as a real entrepreneur.

My guest co-host is Erin Creeks of Ms. Independent Group. I'll share how we met. When I moved to Houston I knew 1 person. A friend from high school and she introduced me to her best friend from college. So little to say I didn't have many friends. But then I went on meetup.com and that's how I found Erin's group. She was one of the few people who actually created events that would get this introvert out of the house.

The topic for this special episode is 'My Purpose is Exhausting'.

So let's hop into this episode's question. Why are we not allowed to express when we're tired?

  • Knowing what time you work best
  • Why I prioritize rest

Final Toast:

  • Erin - Your purpose is fluid. It will change as you change. You have to be open to that. Be open to knowing you might be a little exhausted from it. It's your baby. It's a lot you'll love and a lot you don't want. It's no less meaningful.
  • Vernetta - Allow people to run into the brick wall. Won't be exhausted from helping them. And keeps me in alignment.
