This beautiful substance isn't for all of us, but I do think we can craft a new relationship with her that's not codependent and self-sabotaging. My friend once told me, "when your sober, you're being tested; when your high, you're the teacher." When you're high, you're given an opportunity to look at what you refuse to face. When you're sober, it's time to apply and to heal. One day at a time.
