The seed for this episode was first planted during a conversation with my dear friend (and podcast producer), Paula Jenkins of Jumpstart Your Joy. We were talking about the show and my vision for it. I was very clear about the kinds of things I’d be talking about and who the show was for (and not). We talked about the things that were non-negotiable for me, and the things I wouldn’t shy away from. We talked about how some of my opinions are… unconventional and even unpopular.

At one point, I said, “I’m used to having unpopular opinions, I just don’t care that much what people think about me.” And she said,”You should talk about *that*!” So I am.
