There is a very BIG DIFFERENCE between a Step-Dad who is actively seeking advice with the intent to be a better leader and father. And, a Step-Dad who is just looking to surround himself with miserable people, so he can justify his failures and avoid all blame.

What I mean is there are plenty of men, who are about to be Step-Dad's or close to becoming a Step-Dad, that are doing everything they can to better themselves for the future. They are not looking to blame the bio parent nor are they willing to accept "the way things are" approach for the sake of existing. These men need to be heard. These men need to be supported yet all we do is focus on the Step-Dad's who complain all day long with no real purpose or reason for staying. Advice should applied with the purpose of failure forward towards an end goal yet most Step-Dad's hear the advice and do the opposite. That needs to change.
