Even though the surgery, hospital stay and recovery for a mastectomy with prosthesis is shorter than if you use your own tissue, aka the FLAP surgery, there are multiple procedures following to complete your reconstruction.  But with most good things in life, sometimes it’s definitely worth the wait.
