After dinner one evening I was talking with my mother and she said she wanted to return to her idea of writing down people's testimonies and compiling them in a book. I asked her if she ever wrote her testimonies down and we talked for a while about the milestones in her life. I told her that this would make a great podcast. It took some convincing because everybody hates the sound of their own voice. A few minutes into our recording session I think the realization that "this is personal, this is harder than I thought" came over her. I interviewed her for over four hours. These aren't all of my mother's testimonies. We could have gone on all night, but at 1:00 am we stopped.
My thanks to everyone who has ever prayed for, telephoned, written a letter, hugged, or driven half-way across the country for my mother. You are the most important part of our story.
