Marcus Garvey, Malcolm X, and even Dr. King talked about staying woke to fully comprehend what was done to black people. The term has sense become of a trend that other groups have used for their own agenda. Politicians and news reporters/writers have weaponized the term WOKE outside of its original meaning.
