Dr. John H. Lynch began his term at president of the AUA on May 7, 2019. Dr. Lynch is Professor and Chairman of the MedStar Georgetown University Hospital Department of Urology, Georgetown University School of Medicine Department of Urology.

He is a past-President of the Washington Urologic Society. He has been Program Chairman and Local Arrangement Chairman for several Mid-Atlantic section meetings.  He served on the Board of Directors for the Mid-Atlantic Section and is a Past President of the section. He served a term on the Executive Committee of the Society of Urology Chairs and Program Directors and represented the Mid-Atlantic Section on the AUA's Board of Directors.
