Brown girl brown girl 🤎🖤
What do you see
I see a Vice President
That looks like me
Brown girl brown girl 🤎🖤
What do you do
I fought I hoped
I spoke what was true
Brown girl brown girl 🤎🖤
What do you know
That there are strong women
Who want me to grow
Brown girl brown girl🤎🖤
What do you feel
That #blackgirlmagic💫
Will help us all heal
Brown girl brown girl🤎🖤
What do you see
A world that sees my skin
before it sees me
Brown girl brown girl🤎🖤
Whatcha gonna do
March, fight and create
Till I make this world new
Brown girl brown girl 🤎🖤
How are you so strong
'Cause I got Queens in my blood
To help push me along👸🏾. ~ Lesle' Honore' What beautiful words to describe how I feel about having the first; as well as the first person of color to become Vice President. I am over elated at the fact that I can tell my daughter that she can aspire to hold the office of vice president as well as president now. With having a president who was a man of color and now a vice president who is a female and a woman of color I feel a paradigm shift changing in our society; perhaps even the way that we all think? Now, let’s talk about my guest co-host; Zedrick Applin is a Senior Product Manager at nCino, a financial technology company located in Wilmington, NC. He was born and raised in Dallas and Houston, TX and holds a Bachelors of Economics from Texas Tech University and a Masters of Business Administration from Baylor University. His 15 year career has been in the banking space, holding various leadership roles across many of the top 10 financial institutions and consulting agencies. In addition, he is also an entrepreneur, owning a barbershop (Prestige Cuts Barbershop) in the Dallas/Fort Worth area in Texas. His passion is to advocate for the equity and inclusion of blacks in corporate America, specifically in senior leadership. Visit us on our website: www.Jonseysweets.com
