My work my ministry | Pst. Paddy Musoke
In 2010 the Lord asked me questions concerning the productivity of Christian professionals in the house of God and out there.
God never asks a question to get your information. He is all-knowing. He will always ask you to attract or draw your attention to something.
So a Christian professional has two things:
1. He has education-acquired knowledge and skills.
2. Heaven has also invested in you - you have salvation, eternal life, and the Holy Spirit.
There is a lot of input investment in a Christian professional. So the question is, how much is the output?
The Christian professional is unproductive for God's kingdom in the workplace. Unfortunately, he is not representing the kingdom of Christ but working to meet his personal needs.
Daniel never preached any gospel in the workplace, however, Kings bowed down to his God. What matters in our workplace is our work, not our words. Jesus said in Matthew 5:16 "Let your lights so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." The Bible does not say let them hear your words, it says let your light shine before men; let them see your works. Action speaks louder than words.
In the workplace, your work is what people are looking for, not just your words. It is not wrong to preach to them nonetheless, before your mouth speaks let your works speak. Let all men see your works. In Babylon, the Kings and everyone saw the works of Daniel and they bowed down before his God.
Christian professionals are a big force in the church however, the church has not yet recognized it. We have recognized all the other ministries for the youth, women, men, and children but have failed to acknowledge this group. Every Sunday they come to our churches but the problem is we recognize their cars, and their money but we have failed to recognize them. As a result, they are not empowered.
Men of God let us know that the nation changers are seated in our churches. Let us not expect transformation to come from elsewhere. To ensure we have a voice, a representative amongst the makers and implementors of laws and policies that run the nation, we need to focus on the Christian professionals. They need empowerment because the laws they make can kill or raise a nation. They can make Kenya shine or take it into darkness.
One woman Esther was intentional about her position. By virtue of her position as a Christian, she brought Deliverance to the whole nation. It is possible for Africa to change. We simply need to be strategic and intentional in equipping Christian professionals.
