The show is up at the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art (UMOCA) in Salt Lake City from Feb 9, 2022 - April 2, 2022.

Myleka Bevans works with themes of grief and loss associated with the loss of her daughter of only five days old. She is considered an installation artist who's choice in materials and theme reflects not only loss, but involves the rituals, offerings, and community intertwined with grief. It may be surprising to see how bright and peaceful her instillations feel. The space she creates in this show becomes a reflective space filled with illuminated cotton like clouds, recognizable stuffed animals and floating balloons.
