Myles Burfield is a sports physiotherapist who currently owns and operates a sports injury clinic in addition to clinical supervising at ACU. Myles was part of the successful Australian Kayak team who won the Bronze medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics and he talks about what’s involved in being a sports physiotherapist at an Olympic games. Not only has he been one of few who have attended an Olympic games but he was also a Performance Medicine Therapist for the world renowned Cirque du Soleil and provides insight into what its like to work for Cirque. Myles shares his journey into high performance sport where he had the dream job of traveling all over the globe, then being burnt out and giving up physio altogether, to now taking the next step in his sports physiotherapy career going on to pursue the highest tier of physiotherapy in Australia and becoming a part of a very small group of Specialists Sports Physiotherapist.
