The story begins in a shadowy bunker beneath Berlin. Hitler is depicted as increasingly unstable, paranoid, and ranting at invisible enemies. As the Allies close in, his generals desert him, and even his most loyal followers grow fearful of his madness.

Then, late one night, a stranger appears in the bunker — dressed in black, calm, and polite. No one sees him enter. His presence terrifies the few aides still loyal to the Führer. Hitler believes he’s an emissary sent to help him escape. But the stranger only smiles.
