Philip Drake, a wealthy stockbroker, who discovers that his wife of three months, Vivian, plans to leave him for another man. In a fit of jealousy and rage, Philip shoots Vivian just as her brother, Roger, arrives at their country estate. Surprisingly, Roger offers to help Philip cover up the crime, suggesting they bury Vivian's body in the woods.
