What IS Spiritual Geography?

You can't help but notice there's an ever-expanding focus on the concept of "place" as a way to claim our identity, our heritage, in a world that seems to force conformity and uniformity. There is no shortage of books -- some good, others perhaps not so much -- that attempt to use traditional anthropological methods to examine the relationships between earth, place, people, and people in a certain place. This new focus on spiritual geography adds a third dimension to landscape that is spiritual, accounting for the continuing transformation of consciousness, especially in a religious and spiritual sense.
