Don't we love it when the hero saves an endangered person in the nick of time?  In this story, Jesus doesn't quite make it.  In fact, by the time he shows up, the nick of time has already come and gone.  What do we do with a savior who sometimes takes his time and delays his arrival until after the damage has been done?
