It's a powerful and multi generational saga set in Kerala, especially in the 1900s, and one fascinating thing about the book is that at least one person in a generation dies of drowning. This book also covers various aspects and themes like caste system, inequality, colonial influence, and even the transformative power of medicine. I am so far 200, hundred pages into the book and I'm really loving it."
