The prophet Nahum unveils God's righteous anger and power to utterly destroy the wicked city of Nineveh. However, while God's anger is righteous, He is slow to His anger as shown by His mercy to the Ninevites when they were repentant of their sins in the book of Jonah. Nahum declares God as the good deliverer who protects His people and commands us to mirror His slowness to anger as we proclaim the good news of peace in Christ.
