On My Mission

Naike talks creative process and how he is focused on making more music

“I make music for fun but I’d also love to get out there and have people vibe with things that they might not be familiar with.” Naike told us. “Light work, put way over 10 in my craft, that’s money and hours.” Naike raps on his song “Practice Hours” off his latest project, “King’s Drive” which was released last week. Naike was born and raised in London—and now calls Chicago home. Naike is eager for live shows to resume—but is most certainly making the most out of these unprecedented times. Naike featured solely Chicago artists on his latest tape which is picking up a lot of momentum. And the title of his tape “King’s Drive” comes from the street that he lives on in Chicago. “I’m always gonna be myself in my music, the day I stop doing that, I’ll just stop making music.” Naike is staying true to himself, always, and focused on making more music.
