CMEC Director Charlotte Leslie introduces the 76th anniversary commemoration of the Nakba from Methodist Central Hall in central London on May 15th 2024.

The event is compared by Kate Hardie-Buckley, the film maker & journalist, and was introduced with a speech by H.E. Dr Husam Zomlot, Palestinian Ambassador to the UK. Contributions can be heard from Bakir Oweida, journalist & Nakba survivor, Aymen Odeh, the Palestinian lawyer & politician, Adnan Joubran, the oud player & composer, Sarah El Agha, the Palestinian/Irish actress and writer,Dr Atef Al Shaer, the Palestinian author, Dr Hassan Abu SIttah, the Palestinian/British surgeon, Rola Azar, the Palestinian artist & singer, The Rt. Hon. Sir Alan Duncan KCMG, the former Minister of State for Europe & North America at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, a recitation of "Gaza's Bell Jar" by Ramzi El Dabbagh, Palestinian working on Palestinian advocacy, Mutaz Azayza, Palestinian photo-journalist, 3 short recitations by Sarah Agha, Mutaz Malhees and Taleen Radwan. The event is concluded by Omar Kamal, the Palestinian singer & composer.
