As a Laboratory Specialist in the Department of Ophthalmology at the Medical University of South Carolina, Nakul Thakore developed a project on Glaucoma by identifying proteins of interest yielding significant results which are communicated into a publication titled Histone Deacetylases Regulation by δ-Opioids in Human Optic Nerve Head Astrocytes in the Journal of Investigative Ophthalmalogy and Visual Science.
