We invited out the amazing Nan Turner to the studio to share her amazing story and all the projects she's working on. One of which is Nan + The One Nite Stands which is a musical group that she put together with local KC musicians and singers. From her website "After so much commitment in her young life, Nan wanted a creative project where she wasn’t tied down to people or genres. She wanted to play and dance with many different people. The One Nite Stands were born! They are a rotating cast of musician and dancer friends that have illuminated and energized her songs from NYC to Kansas City to Baltimore! And let’s not forget Germany!"

While Nan was here she put on a few scenes from her upcoming musical, Sequins Before Noon. "Part rock concert, part musical theatre, all 90’s figure skating. Featuring Tonya Harding, Nancy Kerrigan, Oksana Baiul, their mothers, and some celebrity guests like Scott Hamilton and Courtney Love, Sequins Before Noon explores existentialism, friendship, murder, and your relationship with your mother."

Nan taught us how to follow the fun with her songs, dancing, acting, and just love of the game. We can't wait to see her performance at the Black Box Theater January 15-18.
