Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer, Nancy Lieberman (AKA Lady Magic) joins this week’s episode of The Silver Lining Phoenix to talk about her mindset of finding victory in life by never being a victim. With mentors in her life like Muhammed Ali to help guide her, Nancy gives us insight into all of the relationships she’s had that helped mold her into who she is today. She also discusses what her relationship was like with close friend Kobe Bryant and how he touched the lives of those around him.
Nancy is always taking on new challenges to push herself and strive for growth. From challenging hoopers in Rucker Park as a kid, to re-entering the WNBA at 50, she discusses the importance of approaching challenges in life without fear. This drive, commitment, and attitude helped her become a medalist with the USA Olympic team, become the second female assistant coach in the NBA with the Sacramento Kings, and the Head Coach of the Power in the BIG3 league where she led her team to a championship in 2018 and was named Coach of the Year.
We hope you enjoy hearing Nancy’s story and her continued mission to be an inspiration to those around her. Also, be sure to check out the links below to follow Nancy and her story!
