Nancy Lusk Zimpher is an American educator, state university leader and former Chancellor of the State University of New York from Gallipolis, Ohio, who shattered the glass ceiling throughout her momentous career in education.

This series honors the accomplishments that women have made in the arts, sciences, mathematics, education and activism to name a few. Each segment highlights a different woman's achievements toward bettering Ohio and our world.  "Raising Up Ohio's Women" is made possible, in part, by a generous gift provided by the Principle Family Action Fund, along with friends of Toledo Rotary and Toledo Symphony, in honor of Sue and Doug Neckers who were fully committed to public service.
