Nancy Newlan is a 5th generation Floridian.  Writing was important to her even as a child.  In high school, she worked through her emotions by writing them down through poetry.  She found focus and understanding when writing and reading them later.  Although the writings remain private, this practice continued as she grew.

Nancy lives in Florida between Ocala National Forest and Seminole State Forest. She is frequented by a host of wild life including bears, turkeys, sand cranes, raccoons and deer along with a variety of birds.

She loves all things outdoorsy, from riding bikes, canoeing, boating, picnicking, hand gliding, photography and gardening. Nancy grows orchids as a hobby.  She claims she can never have enough plants.

Nancy is an accountant by trade working at a CPA firm as a staff accountant. She went back to school and obtained her Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

She is a member of the Alliance of Independent Authors and a member of Northland, a Church Distributed.
