Welcome to our podcast all about Latino culture! In this episode, we speak with Naomi, a first-generation graduate and woman entrepreneur who has a bachelor's in Architectural Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington and works for one of the largest general contractors in the United States, The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company. 

Naomi is also known as "Naomi_Da_Hommie" on IG  in her community. In her spare time, she operates Putas Paletas, a paleta cart business that she started after a conversation with friends at a cookout. She is currently working on expanding her business into a build-your-own experience rental. 

In addition to her regular job and side hustle, Naomi is also very involved in her community, volunteering for organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and serving on the committee for the Hispanic Outreach Program. She is also a member of the National Association of Women in Construction and started the Architectural Engineering Institute organization at UTA. As a huge advocate for women's rights and other major issues concerning minorities, Naomi is dedicated to serving others and making a positive impact.
