Na'Quel is originally from Kingston Jamaica. His appreciation of words started at a young age. He was a founding member of the I Am Poetry group out of the African American Museum. He has curated and hosted several open mics over the years, notably the Long Island Open mic. He is currently the host and creator of the Podpoets Lounge podcast.
