In the spirit of Women International Day, I had a beautiful LIVE conversation on Instagram with a dear friend, about all things feminine cycle and how to boost your productivity and performance.
We discussed:
1️⃣What should we pay attention to at each phase of the menstrual cycle in terms of diet, exercise, work and other activities?
2️⃣ Examples of how to eat to support female hormones in general?
3️⃣ Which three nutritional supplements she recommends to every woman and why?
🤓 Research shows that women experience 23 days of reduced focus and productivity at work due to menstrual pain and discomfort (PMS, menstrual fatigue, headaches, anxiety, mood swings, insomnia and more). This happens because as young girls, we were taught to operate in a 'linear' masculine way. But our feminine energy is much more cyclical.
🥰 Over the month, our metabolism, brain chemistry, emotions, and nutritional needs are consistently changing (mostly due to changing levels of estrogen and progesterone), affecting how we think, feel and operate.
Because of this, it would be silly for us to eat the same things, exercise the same way, have the same routines, feel the same emotions, and expect from ourselves to remain the ‘same’ every single day.
💫 By aligning our nutrition, exercise, social calendar and even important work engagements, we can boost our health, performance and productivity.
At the end of the day, our energy, focus, productivity, self-confidence, libido, weight, appetite... they are all tied to our menstrual cycle and supporting the cycle can make all the difference between feeling depleted and feeling on top of the world.
